Fresh from revealing that Monster Hunter Stories will be coming to Switch this June, Capcom has kept pace with Monster Hunter’s 20th anniversary celebrations by finally sharing the results of the fan-favorite ‘Top Monster’ poll we first heard about last year.
This one pitted all 229 monsters in the series against each other to see which would be better. The video above breaks down the top 20 so you can see where Shagaru Magala and Primordial Malzeno rank, but come on, it’s the top three we all really want to know.
Taking the bronze was Leviathan Lagiacruswhich first swam into view in Monster Hunter 3. Next up was Monster Hunter: World‘with Elder Dragon Nergigante, who took home the silver. And first, the fan favorite monster of the entire series was… Captured Wyvern Zinogrewho debuted in Monster Hunter 3 Portable!
Those on the podium even got a fancy new piece of artwork from the Monster Hunter team to celebrate the win:
