As you well know, the sequel to Monster Hunter Stories is on its way to Nintendo Switch. However, it seems that the first installment released for Nintendo 3DS is neither on its way to the console nor expected.
This has been confirmed Ryozo Tsujimoto Capcom in a recent meeting with GameReactor, where they stated that they do not plan to bring the original game to the hybrid console. We leave you with his words:
There are no plans at the moment to bring the original Monster Hunter Stories to the Nintendo Switch. H
There is a new protagonist and a new story… Although it is set in the same world, the game has been absolutely designed so that players can jump directly into Monster Hunter Stories 2.
