As you well know, Super Mario Maker 2 Today it has received a major update with world creation and much more. However, there is a curious detail that differentiates the western versions from the Japanese one.

Apparently, in the Japanese version of Super Mario Maker 2, the Mushroom from Super Mario Bros. 2

It's called Mario USA Mushroom, following the name that the title has in Japan. But the console does not stop there: its general colors are red, white and blue, colors that are effectively associated with the United States.

For now it is unknown if this reference has been made on purpose or not, but, in the meantime, you can see the object in the following message:

In the Japanese version of Super Mario Maker 2, the SMB2 Mushroom is called "Mario USA Mushroom", after the game's name in Japan.
