Stardew Valley is perhaps one of the best supported Indie games of all time with the Eric 'Concernedape' Barone who is now working on the title for over 12 years. Although questions were asked about the future of agriculture simulator and life -style simulator now that the creator's attention was attracted (mainly) moved to his new project, what is the real plan?
Speaking for, for example, Barone mentioned that he did not want to “definitely say that the book was ever closed” about Stardew because one day he could “have a desire to return and maybe add something”:
“You know, maybe even in 50 years I could add something … I like to create things. I don't think I'll ever retire. I think it would be funny to post update when I'm, like, 90 years – if I live so much.
Saying this, he thinks that the game “can have too many content”, and although he wants Stardew to be the best experience that can be, if there is any sense, he feels “starting to be a bit overcrowded with the contents of the point is harmful to the fun factor in the game,” he would think, ” about cessation.
So, here – although Stardew Valley recently got a big update, there could be more. And to be honest, there have already been more updates since version 1.6 arrived at Switch last year.
In an interview with Nintendo Life, published earlier this month, Barone mentioned that he felt he could continue to work on Stardew for the rest of his life and just wants to “keep it alive” because he doesn't want to see him fall out.
