Dead Cells: The Animated Series will consist of 10 seven-minute episodes. Motion Twin says that the animation will initially be exclusive to France, and will then be available worldwide. You can watch the fesh announcement below.
“We are thrilled to announce that after years of requests, the Dead Cells animated series is CANCELING in 2024! Made of course by Bobbypills, the French studio behind our animated trailers, the show takes place on (surprise, surprise) a haunted island plagued by a strange plague. After the mad king of the island develops a cure that ends up turning the population into monstrous creatures, prophecies begin to appear depicting a fire-headed hero who will kill the mad king. As it happens, this decapitated hero is real, but saving the kingdom is not on his agenda and he just wants to be left alone. Well, guess who won’t be left alone… Also co-produced by French anime streaming service Animation Digital Network (ADN), the 10, roughly seven-minute-long episodes will initially be exclusive to France before being made available worldwide.”
