The executive producer of DOOM Eternal in id Software, Marty Stratton, recently participated in an interview with EGX in which he spoke a bit about the version of the game for Nintendo Switch, stating that it will be the best version of the game of all.
He has also confirmed that the launch is “very close”, although he cannot yet share a specific date, due to the inconvenience of working from home. You have all his words below:
I wish I could give you details. I read all the comments, and when we say something about Doom Eternal, always one in five comments says, “Okay, but how about you tell us about the Switch version?” I know people are anxious.
We are trying to make it the best possible version of the game, which is why we have been working with Panic Button. They are the same as everyone, working from home. It took a little longer to get to a good point, but we want to get as close as possible. It’s very close, and we are trying to talk about certain things because there is such a high demand. We will talk about it again in the not too distant future. It’s close, but I can’t say exactly how close.
