I Madden NFL and EA Sports FC are locked for Switch 2, so what can I expect to expect sports lovers when they start?
EA recently said Eurogamer that “both experiences are being built specifically for a new manual platform.” As for how exactly this translates in terms of features and visual parity – although it is not a direct answer, EA says that its general goal on the platform “always” to provide a consistent player experience “how much hardware allows”.
“We are excited to bring two of our favorite franchises – EA Sports FC and Madden NFL – to Nintendo's Switch 2, giving fans even more ways to deal with sports they love, anytime anywhere … We look forward to sharing more soon.”
During the generation of the switches, EA delivered more “inherited editions of” the latest FIFA games, which lacked certain ways and features involved in the main versions on other platforms. However, this changed with the arrival of FC 24, which delivered “full parity of features with other consoles” and won with FC 25.
In terms of other details of the 'Switch 2 version' like Crossplay – EA will not reveal any specifics yet, with more information that will come on a “later date”. He is also not ready to provide details about the final names of the Switch 2 version Madden NFL and EA Sports FC.
When asked by the hypothetical question of the same socket of whether the Switch 2 versions are different to “current and upcoming EA Sports Games”, the answer was that the “experiences” were designed for the Switch 2. No matter what the outcome is, at least should be the main technical step in the EA Sports experience at OG switch thanks to the Hardware 2.
