Popular gaming YouTuber RebelTaxi was sent an unreleased early version of the original de Blob classic for the Nintendo DS handheld system. The game was initially developed by Helixe, but was eventually shut down and never released for the platform, although the sequel, stain 2
, was officially released for the Nintendo DS in 2011. It’s not entirely clear what happened to Helixe’s Nintendo DS version of de Blob, but unfortunately it never saw the light of day. Both versions were to be published by THQ. Hopefully RebelTaxi will release a new video showing the game in action along with a game rom.
