Explained why Nintendo asks that we not use the word “Nintendo” to describe video games

that users did not use the word Nintendo to describe everything related to the world of video games. Although at the time it was thought that the poster was even arrogant, since it told us what we should not do with its name, now an explanation has been offered that justifies it.

Everything seems related to Trademark Law Fritz G. Lanham of the United States of 1946, since its section 15 contains this clause:

(4) no indisputable right will be acquired in a trademark that is the generic name of the products or services, or a part thereof, for which it is registered.

This allows trademarks to remain unique

and profit can be made from it. That is why Nintendo asked that its name not be used for everything, so that it would not be devalued. This prevents it from becoming a generic word and anyone can claim its use and rights.
