There were quite a few pleasant surprises at yesterday’s Nintendo Direct presentation, one of which was the news that the hit Wii game Donkey Kong Country Returns is getting the HD treatment for the Nintendo Switch family of systems. Many wondered who the developer was for this specific title and in the meantime it was revealed to be none other than Forever Entertainment SA, the team behind the Panzer Dragoon remake. If you recall, Nintendo gave Forever Entertainment a significant financial boost in what it believed to be a new publishing deal in 2021. So there it is.
“Another surprise (question if it’s just for me). At the Nintendo Direct we saw Donkey Kong County Returns HD, which is responsible for…. Forever Entertainment. Strong stuff for Fork.”
