Freedom Planet 2 has been a long time coming, and console owners will have to wait a little longer to play the fast-paced 2D platformer as it was announced today that it won’t arrive until spring. The company says the delay was made to ensure the console versions were on par with the PC version, so they saw fit to delay the game a bit. Here’s what XSEED said in a statement.
“Together with our partners at Galaxy Trail, we have made the decision to move the launch window for Freedom Planet 2 to Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One and Xbox Series XIS
by Spring 2024. It’s important to us all that players have the same high-quality experience that the PC version currently offers, as well as new and exciting features that are yet to be discovered. To that end, we’re going to take a little extra time to make sure we can deliver the best possible version of this fast-paced platform adventure. Thank you for your patience and excitement so far! We know you can’t wait to get back to Avalice and we can’t wait to share more information in the new year.”
