New report from Insider games (Thanks, Eurogamer) revealed that more release after the announcement of Funk Fusion in 2024 appeared in the studio 10:10.
Basically, anonymous sources stated that the game was “complete commercial and critical failure” and that the main catalyst is behind about 20 unconfirmed job losses. According to sources, some of them were also on vacation at the time and felt obliged to attend consultation meetings, although they were on leave within different weather zones.
To make matters worse, it reported that the company was not offered significant severance pay, and only a “minimum” that only offers unpaid vacation. However, it was also said that the staff was pressed to use holiday leave before the announcement to avoid the company to pay off after the fact.
The job losses are allegedly based completely based on the needs of the next venture of the studio, and seemingly did not influence the staff of higher and higher management. The sources also claimed that the heads of the Study Paul Flenagan and Arthur Parsons wanted to be in advance on the release and demanded public responsibility for the loss of work, but the official statement was not listed at the time of writing.
If the dismissals are confirmed that they are true, the studio joins the Ubisoft and Phoenix Labs characters to reduce their operations, with the latter put down to the “most studies”.
