HAL Laboratory celebrates its 40th anniversary with a new website and work of art

This year marks the 40th anniversary of the launch of Hal Laborator, the Japanese game development studio that has been closely associated with Nintendo for decades.

The exact date of the 40th anniversary was actually three days; launched on the 21st of February 1980, the studio is probably best known for Kirby

series, Mother (or EarthBound), and Super Smash Bros., and that's a shiny dog and egg yolk, of course.

Speaking of its history, the studio has worked for others as well Pokémon topics – including the popularity of Pokémon Snap

and Pokémon Stadium on the N64 – even Face Editors application in 3DS. It also enhanced the 3DS puzzle BOXBOY!, which led to this fun art project that replaces the actual eggs and letters from the game.
