It’s always rumor season in the video game industry, and one of the biggest when it comes to the Switchit is not about the Switch successor focuses on the acclaimed Xbox title coming to the hybrid console.
Those rumors — which seem to point to Tango Gameworks’ excellent action title Hi-Fi Rush — may now carry a little more weight, as fans have found something in-game that could suggest the game is coming to the Switch. Tom Warren from The Verge has reported that data researchers have found shirt files that only appeared in the game after the first anniversary update.
The new update added platform-exclusive shirts for Xbox, Steam, and Epic, but there are files for other shirts as well — one that’s very Sony-blue with the slogan “I’m Here Baby!” and the other in red with the slogan “Rock Out! Anywhere”. Hmmmm.
These two designs do not currently appear in any version of Hi-Fi Rush. Additionally, the Xbox-exclusive tee is a nice green color with “Shadow Dropped” on the front, a nice reference to the game’s surprise release during the Xbox Developer Direct in 2023. “Rock Out! Anywhere” is probably a fun little nod to the Switch’s portability .
So it’s probably only a matter of time, right? A Nintendo Direct would surely be the right time to reveal that Switch port, Tango Gameworks…
