The latest boxed software and hardware rankings have arrived from Japanese sales tracker Famitsu for the week of December 12, 2022 to December 18, 2022. As you may have guessed, the Nintendo Switch family of systems continues to be the best-selling hardware for Japanese consumers shifting an additional 173,083 unit. Sony seems to have secured more stock of PlayStation 5 consoles in the land of the rising sun as sales jumped this week with 70,496 PlayStation 5 units sold. In terms of software, Pokemon Scarlet & Violet is still in first place, selling an additional 260,784 retail copies this week. Here are the top sellers in Japan:
