Nintendo American product leader Katie Casper has officially resigned. He is most remembered in recent years when he co-founded the N indies Showcase and has been with the company for "almost six years" now. According to him Connected
In a message on On Twitter, Casper revealed that he left his post "recently" and was grateful for the friendship and support over the years. He is now ready to make a "new adventure" in life.
After almost six years, there are a variety of feelings when I recently resigned from Nintendo.
As a child, I changed my career aspirations so much that when the sun came up and went down. That is until I played one game: The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time. That game ignited me. I've always enjoyed video games, but OoT was a game changer. I really loved the story, the music, the characters, the gameplay — everything that brought me into this world. From then on, I dreamed of working for Nintendo. I wanted to be part of this wonderful goal: to bring amazing games to people around the world. Hopefully I can inspire others the way I was …
Then, when asked what I wanted to be when I grew up, I replied with "the president of Nintendo." While I look back and criticize the statement, part of the truth is true: the "Nintendo" part. It’s not about titles or likes or money; it's about being part of a team. Being part of this great mission to bring a smile to people's faces.
Somewhere along my line is my posting, and it's time to get back to being a follower.
I appreciate your friendship and support over the last six years. I have made some amazing memories, and am excited to make a new adventure in life. (And 50+ games on my blog!)
Thank you, all of you.
Katie "Best Friend" Casper
You're done sharing some of Nintendo's other prominent works, including the Suda 51 reunion, collaborating with Kirk Scott to watch indie hits Hollow Knight on behalf of Team Cherry Games and partnering with Blizzard to release Devil III: The Eternal Collection to Change. You can view all of these memories in his Twitter account.
To all the community here at Nintendo Life, we wish Katie all the best in her future endeavors.
