LEGO 2K Drive adds new content, features and bug fixes in Update 5

LEGO 2K Drive

Since its debut last May, LEGO 2K Drive has continued to receive multiple game updates. The latest (update 5) comes with new content, features and bug fixes.

These include the Stargaze Summit expansion, new special fairs, Goal Karting: Hockey, Time Trial Mode, and a number of other additional improvements. Here’s a summary (via Steam’s support page):

NEW CONTENT AND FEATURES
Stargaze Summit Expansion:

  • Embark on exciting adventures in the newly discovered Stargaze Summit biome inside Bricklandia!
  • Search for a new friend in Prospecto Valley to open the way there.
  • Discover seven exciting new races.
  • Take on three exciting challenges.
  • Test your skills with nine exciting new On-The-Go events.
  • Earn exclusive new specials, drivers, vehicles and more as rewards!
  • Earn tons of XP to level up and earn Drive Pass levels even faster!

We present you special features:

  • Enhance your gameplay with a variety of special styles, usable in open world and other modes (with active custom rules)!
  • Additional Camera: Attach to vehicles for alternate camera perspectives.
  • Collectibles Detector: Alerts you when collectibles are nearby.
  • Collectibles Magnet: Grab collectibles from afar.
  • Flamethrower: Unleash fiery mayhem, damaging other vehicles and the environment.
  • Wreck-O-Power: Get random power-ups after breaking numerous obstacles.
  • Thruster: Receive a quick targeted speed boost.
  • Jetpack Turbo: Glide faster when using jetpack pickups.
  • Crystal Mower: Mower blades allow any vehicle to mow weeds in the open world.
  • Bumper (available now in the garage!): throw objects upon contact.

Goal-Karts: Hockey:

  • Take part in intense competitive 3v3 matches on a drivable ice rink!
  • Strategize and build the ultimate car for offensive or defensive puck maneuvers.
  • Practice with a friend in 1 on 1 split screen!

Mode of work on time:

  • Test your skills against time in the newly introduced timed mode!
  • Access this new mode from the “Play” menu!
  • Compete to achieve the fastest finish time in each race.
  • Track your personal bests and aim to dominate the global leaderboard.

Additional improvements:

  • Expanded Leaderboards: Now with a wide range of in-game activities to compete with runners around the world.
  • Improved Creator Hub: Creators can now upload modified unlocked/purchased vehicles to the Creator Hub! (Note: You must own the original vehicle to download mods.)
  • Rival Rewards: Talk to a nearby racing rival after defeating them in all three classes to receive a special reward!
  • Online Race Variety: In-game races will now feature more variety in obstacles.

BUG AND STABILITY FIXES

Error corrections

  • Fixed an issue where the player could not continue with the PWE activity
  • Fixed an issue where the Player would lose functionality when the Player opens the options menu after selecting a time task
  • Fixed an issue where the player could not restart On-The-Go events and world challenges after opening the social menu
  • Fixed an issue where the Player would encounter an infinite loading screen while filtering in the Creator Center
  • Fixed an issue where the Player could not clear the search for shared code in the Creator Center
  • Fixed an issue where the Player could not rotate the camera in the Creators Hub
  • Fixed an issue where the Player could not undo or redo after putting the drive in a garage
  • Fixed an issue where the Player could apply stickers in crafting mode
  • Fixed an issue where the player could not complete the Chamfered Wagon walkthrough
  • Fixed an issue where the player could not complete step 11 of the Rocket Car walkthrough
  • Fixed an issue where the player could not complete step 6 of the Rocket Car walkthrough
  • Fixed an issue where the player could not complete step 10 of the Big OL’ Tex walkthrough
  • Fixed an issue where the player could not complete step 11 of the Out For The Count walkthrough
  • Fixed an issue where the Player could not complete Shadow Z-Ray instructions
  • Fixed an issue where part 32828 could not be placed in vintage car instructions
  • Fixed an issue where there are 50 double wheels in Viško
  • Fixed multiple issues where players got stuck during gameplay
  • Fixed an issue where biome/level completion was not counted

Stability fixes

  • Fixed crash when players race in Flytrap
  • Fixed a crash when burying Brickbrawl
  • Fixed an issue where the Player had low frames per second in PWE
  • Fixed stability when using the Creators Hub filter
