LEGO Group today announced the pre-order availability of LEGO Super Mario Adventures via the Mario Starter Course. Followers can now secure their set of this upcoming and much-anticipated product line, the result of a unique partnership with Nintendo. The new LEGO Super Mario product line features an interactive LEGO Mario image that collects coins at the levels of an actual LEGO brick game. It is not a video game or traditional set made of LEGO bricks, it promises to change the way people interact with Super Mario in the physical world and engage with LEGO experiences.
Revealed for the first time today by LEGO Design Leader Jonathan Bennink, fans will be able to start exploring the full LEGO Super Mario universe with Adventures featuring the Mario Starter Course. This entry point set in the LEGO Super Mario world is required to unlock the expansion sets and includes seven action bricks for different interactions with the LEGO Mario figure included in this set only.
The LEGO Mario figure itself has LCD screens in his eyes, mouth and abdomen to show the many removable modes of motion, color movement and bricks of action. Also included is a speaker that plays the sounds of the song structure and music in the video game series.
