Level-5, the studio behind the Ni No Kuni and Yo-Kai Watch franchises, has ceased operations outside of Japan as their North American operations were shut down as they scaled back at the end of 2020. The studio has decided to focus on Japan, but new information comes from official the company’s website hints that they are once again looking to distribute their games globally. The information comes from a job ad posted on the site, which states that they are looking to redevelop “globally” due to the “recent globalization of the gaming business.”
“With the recent globalization of the game business, we are looking for people to maximize the business scale as a content carrier and actively develop Level 5 IP not only in Japan, but also globally.”
