And we return to another round of history Mario Kart as we pass the plaid flags and Mario Kart World 5th June.

Referring to the first three installments in Mari's kartin chronicles, today we are accelerating to Gamecube, DS and two long-gamecubes, while the series embarked on the net and first accepted the control of the movement.

Before we hit the gas on '2', it is worth mentioning Mario Kart Arcade GP and his sequel, which came to the arcades in this period. We'll talk a little about them in a later feature – don't worry, we didn't forget them!

Let's go to that, double …

Super Circuit was my introduction to Nintendo Racing Behemoth, but Double Dash is a entrance that has really swallowed me well. I always felt that Gamecube took some interesting risks with his titles: a first person's metroid; Cel seminary Zelda, the whole Pictim's assumption … Double Dash didn't differ, and although the setting of kart with two people could now seem ticklish, it really caught my attention at the time.

Playing it for the first time, he demanded a little bit of a blow to my brain; I had no problem changing the characters and exploiting the right teams to unlock unique objects, but what really inserted the steering wheel in Tizza, was the lack of an iconic 'hop!' When power slides. Either strangeMan! Accordingly, several fast circles around the baby park soon allowed me to master the art of reinforcement.

I don't mind now that the whole premise for two was abolished, but for good while I really hoped Nintendo might give another blow. Mario Kart Wii introduced … bikes, I guess? Cool and optional movement control were neat but double dash felt really unique. It will always remain a personal favorite. – Ollie Reynolds

  • Population songs: Mushroom Bridge, Waluigi Stadium, Children's Park, Mountain DK
  • Fun fact: Double dash !! He added a bunch of new runners, one of which was a parachute – since then he couldn't play.
  • What is Mario Kart World taken from this? Replacing characters in the middle of the race was certainly novelty, but not the one that really has a place in the world Mario Kart. Accordingly, he opened the door of holding two items at once, and honestly, we can't imagine ever returning to one.

In a MK I was involved in 2005, but Mario Kart DS is where my love for the series really has really kept. You can keep your local multiplayer, we shoot at DS Downloading the game and stay until the early hours!

They all had DS and, it seemed, everyone had MKD. In this game, my brother and me muffled almost every possible event. Oh, you Not Unlocked the slave already? Raise your DS for a second and let me pierce some retro cup.

And that was not just a local game. Mario Kart DS introduced me to the world of online games in the mid-2000s, and despite the criminal broken 'snake' by abolishing almost every internet match I jumped into, I still remember the feeling Actually playing with strangers from different countries for the first time. Magic things.

There are so many other features that have blown my little mind – retro courses, an emblem adjustment – but let's give the greatest Vik mission. Until the world, this was closest, the series ever came to a single player campaign, with the number of challenges to make the hand races feel a little less lonely. The chief phases were a special extract. Imagine explaining the 1V1 King Bob-Omb mission to someone who played only 8 Deluxe! OofWe used to have it well. – Jim Norman

  • Population songs: Yoshi Falls, Stadium Wario, Waluigi Fliper, peach gardens and Nintendo DS Battle Course
  • Fun fact: This is the only Mario Kart Play not Have a circle with Mario theme in a flower cup. DS -ov Mario Circle instead appears in Star Cup.
  • What is Mario Kart World taken from this? Retro courses, internet games, dry bones … But the focus on the contents of one player feels like a big striker here. The World's Free Roam Mode is far larger than the DS mission, but it's nice to see the return of a fun solo game.

The double dash is where my true love for Mario Kart began, but I think Mario Kart Wii cemented him. When Wii came out, I was in high school and I was trying to move with new friendships in the new environment it was strange. Most people really didn't play video games at my school and those who just played Call of Duty or FIFA; None of that RPG or platform.

Wii was an exception. They all had Wii. So everyone played Mario Kart. Mario Kart Wii is one of the few video games that made me actually enjoy control of movement and an online game. I would schedule matches and competitions with friends and we would race against each other or online to try to outsmart the competition.

Online were nuts; It felt like everyone was constantly on the blood. Somehow I managed to get to a three -star rank (highest) online. I've never been so competitive online with any other game, which is because the game was actually good online! *lateral eyes break the brose. Brawl*

Returning to the controls of the movement, the Wii wheel made all the differences there. Holding Wii remote on the side? Nuh-uh. Still, additional plastic? An ingenious idea to pack it with a game. I don't play with Gyro in future intakes, but this time I thought it really works.

Offline, I still loved the game, honestly. To Deluxe, Wii was a gold standard for a list of characters. Rosalina joined the ranks as well as funky kong – and we know how many people loved it. Admittedly, it is unbalanced due to vehicles and varieties with characters and obtaining extremely good items, even if you are high. And his retro selection of the course is average.

But I spent hundreds of hours on it, so you know what? Mario Kart Wii may be a strong, unbalanced mess, but it's my mess and I love it. – Alan was

  • Population songs: Coconut Market Center, Maple's Wood Trees, Cape Koopa, Mushroom Corps
  • Fun fact: If you change the “jump” just fine, you can actually avoid hitting the POA block, which means you will keep your item and will not spin. It's a single frame trick, but if you can consistently pull it out? You're pretty good.
  • What is Mario Kart World taken from this? Funky kong. Where is he???? To a large extent, bikes are now my vehicle, so I'm glad the vehicle variety got stuck. Mario Kart World has a chance to really wander with that, and we have already seen little of it.

And that is the end of the second circle. Check out our first round below if you missed it, and we'll see each other again for the next series!
