A new update is now available in this game of Nintendo Switch. This is a patch that the developers have officially released on the console recently for Metroid Dread.
Specific, this version 1.0.3 of the game includes several fixes and adjustments that aim to improve the user experience on the hybrid console. You can check the list of news just below:
- General fixes
- Fixed an issue where Samus’s damage detection would disappear under certain conditions.
We made the decision to fix this issue because there is a potential for it to occur unintentionally, and if it does, it will result in a very different gaming experience than the way Metroid Dread was originally intended to be experienced.
This update appears to be aimed at the speedrunners, specifically to solve this bug:
[Metroid Dread]
Version 1.0.3 was released, and it apparently fixes the E.M.M.I. door + Morph Ball invincibility bug.
Interestingly, Nintendo added a note presumably intended for speedrunners justifying why they fixed it (“may occur unintentionally”).
No other changes of note. https://t.co/kh0YFFHfgT
