Knight Witch, last year’s fun and frantic mix of bullet hell action and Metroidvania exploration, just got a brand new update on Switch. Publisher Team17 has shared all the details about the patch on your blog.
The Super Awesome Hyper Dimensional Mega Team fast-paced action game — in our own words — “mixes things up a bit” and is a refreshing take on the Metroidvania genre. But we noticed some technical issues, including soft locks, in our review. But with today’s update, it looks like many of those early problems could be magically removed.

– Fixed crash when changing language.
– Fixed crash when interacting with NPC after changing language.
– Fixed FPS drop when controller disconnects on loading screen.
– Fixed a hard game lock resulting from disconnecting the controller in the Controls menu.
– Fixed issues when binding spells or the Action/Talk button to L3 and/or R3.
– Fixed issue with missing controller remapping function.
– Fixed a bug where the player could ignore a collision and get stuck in a wall in the Giga tree.
– Fixed a bug that allowed the player to leave the boundaries of a Hextinction battle.
– Fixed a bug where Rayne would appear after death with an incomplete animation.
– Fixed a black screen that sometimes appeared during the ambush banner.
– Fixed a bug that freezes the weapon’s durability counter.
– Fixed a bug where the ‘Laser Gun’ spell would not fire when aimed at an open door.
– Fixed spawn circles not centered on spawn location.
– Fixed issues arising from interacting with the lighthouse after using a countdown spell.
– Fixed a bug where popcorn pops would not explode when using the ‘Death Ray’ spell.
– Fixed collision not properly implemented for door property in Giga tree.
– Fixed turret collision with player in Giga Tree.
– Fixed a bug that prevented the player from changing options while switching languages.
– Fixed issues with warning text appearing overlapping when trying to purchase items in the shop without the appropriate number of shards.
– Fixed bug where character name and avatar do not match during dialog.
– Fixed several typos and wrong translations in localization.
