Studio Supersoft’s creature-collecting, deck-building life simulation Moonstone Island is coming to Switch on June 19.
As publisher Raw Fury announced with the new trailer above, the game — which launched on PC last year — will be making the jump to Nintendo’s platform along with new collectible spirits and a new marriage component.
Full disclosure: Just a heads up that cow and crab loving ex-Nintendo Life employee Kate Gray wrote this game. So while we will definitely be playing Moonstone Island, we won’t be reviewing it on the site, unfortunately!
The game falls into the feel-good farm simulator genre, with a bit of exploration, deck-building, and potion-brewing Alchemy thrown in for good measure. You explore dozens of procedurally generated islands, making friends and building your home along the way, crafting gear to help you survive dungeons, temples, and other areas full of not-so-friendly things waiting for battle.
Here are some of the features of the Switch release highlighted in the PR ad and some screenshots:
Additional alcoholic beverages – Check out the new roster that has grown since the game’s launch on PC, including over 70 new ghosts to capture and collect.
Exciting prizes– Risk an endless dungeon with rewards that make it worth the risk.
Exciting decorations – Grab the “Decorator’s Pass” which will give you access to all DLC cosmetics from launch, with more coming this year.
A new component of marriage – Move in with the chosen spouse, after the special wedding scene.
The game currently has a ‘Generally favorable’ 80 Metascore for the PC version, so you hope the Switch port arrives in even better shape nearly nine months later.
Have you played this on PC before? Waiting for the Switch release? It’s not long yet, so head down to the comments and let us know.
