The iconic creature from the first generation of Pokémon, Laprashas been immortalized in a huge stuffed animal which will delight fans of the franchise.
In a recent The Pokémon Company announcement on Twitterit was revealed a lapras plush with impressive dimensions of 27″ tall and 34″ long. Available to pre-order on the Pokémon Center website until June 3, 2024, this majestic plush is priced at $300. According to the store page, shipments are expected to begin in mid-December 2024, making it A perfect gift for the Christmas season.

Lapras, a water and ice Pokémon, has been a fan favorite since the early days of the franchise. Recognized for its strength and rarity in the first generation games, Lapras has been noted as one of the original 151 Pokémon.
Lapras was closely linked to the Surf movement, being commonly associated with surfing in second generation games. This connection has been maintained in later titles, such as Pokémon X and Y, where Lapras is seen sailing, recalling his role as an aquatic mount.
Even though the Lapras plush doesn’t quite reach the massive dimensions of the original Pokémon (standing 8’02” or 2.5 meters tall), fans have expressed their excitement, even in the face of its price of 300 dollars.
“My giant Slowpoke NEEDS a friend!” commented a Twitter user, referring to the life-size stuffed animal of Slowpoke previously released in Japan.
Although the Pokémon Center website does not provide images of the plush next to people or furniture to assess its size, the dimensions suggest that Lapras would be a considerable object, perhaps comparable to a large cushion or a pouf.
