When Nintendo officially discovered the Switch 2 in January, they confirmed that the console would be digitally and physically back to compatible with the Switch 1 games. However, they also mentioned that they would come with some exceptions. When the Switch 2 Direct happened, Nintendo explained more about it by posting the list of the Switch 1 game and the compatibility level they had with the Switch 2.
The list is not final, because Nintendo still adjusts as they continue to test games and try to improve compatibility. For example, Nintendo updated several games on the compatibility list. Fortnite has been confirmed that he gets a Switch 2 version, so there is no longer a need for the Switch 1 version compatible. In the meantime, it has been confirmed that the fitness box is updated so that the problems on the Switch 2 can be solved. Post on social networks that transfers the news can be seen down.
