Nintendo confirmed that it is currently investigating reports published online regarding unauthorized access to Nintendo accounts users. As previously reported the company took to Twitter to tell users to use 2-factor authentication when they could, but nothing else was said. VGC contacted Nintendo UK and was told the following:
"We are aware of reports of unauthorized access to other Nintendo accounts and are investigating the situation. In the meantime, we recommend that users be allowed 2-step verification through their Nintendo Account as instructed here
