- Screen Gems/Constantin Films has a contract to make a Resident Evil movie every 5 years to maintain the rights.
- The upcoming film, directed by Zach Cregger, is due for release before the end of fiscal year 2026.
- This film is rumored to be an adaptation of Resident Evil Zero, with Rebecca and Billy starring.
- Claims that Capcom could make a marketing deal with Nintendo for the release of Resident Evil Zero Remake on the new console.
- Resident Evil Zero Remake could be released on all platforms, but it would be positioned as a big AAA release in the first year of the Switch successor.
- The release of the remake could coincide with the 30th anniversary of the saga and the release of the film.
- RE 9 could also be released in 2026, with a “beginnings and endings” theme for the saga.
- There could be a CGI movie related to RE 9 as part of the series' 30th anniversary celebration.
