The new Nintendo Switch 2 will swing 256 GB of internal storage; Massive upgrade from the original switch. Accordingly, it is inevitable that the sizes of the games with games will increase, but if the first series of confirmed sizes of the first sides of anything is going to pass, it will not increase that many.
As noted by VGC, file sizes for Mario Kart World, Donkey Kong Bananza, Super Mario Party – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboreree TV, and Kirby and Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star Crosside World. The GameCube – Nintendo Classics app size is also confirmed.
Here's all so far, see all the confirmed first -party file sizes:
- Mario Kart World – 23.4GB
- Ass – 10 GB
- Super Mario Party Jamboreree – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Jamboreree TV – 7.7 GB
- Kirby and Forgotten Land – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition + Star Crossed World – 5.7 GB
- Gamecube – Nintendo Classics – 3.5 GB
Naturally, we are very curious to see what enhanced breaths of wilderness and tears of the kingdom will come to, along with Metroid Prime 4: Beyond – Nintendo Switch 2 Edition.
So far, this is encouraging. Provided, third -party games are likely to be much larger because Nintendo are very clearly masters of compression, but it seems that the internal storage of 256 GB could be reasonable for most users on launch.
However, we highly recommend that you find the purchase of an SD Express card for additional storage and keep in mind that standard Micro SD cards will not work with Switch 2.
