In case you missed it, Nintendo made a new update, not – we're not talking about a big update 20.0.0, this is a brand new patch officially run into the firmver to that Version 20.0.1.
This latest update solves Error Code: 2206-1015who had already “explored” Nintendo after a report on several players. This problem seems to have appeared when users installed a previous update and then restarted the system.
Here's the full (And short) Patch for this latest update via Nintendo's support page:
Verb. 20.0.1 (published on May 2, 2025)
The problem was solved in which the error code: 2206-1015 sometimes occurred when restarting the system after updating to the system 20.0.0.
If you find a mistake, update your Nintendo Switch console in the maintenance mode.
As Nintendo noted, if you encountered this mistake, you will need to get in the “system of” system to solve the problem. Here are Nintend's official steps:
- Ensure that the console is off.
- If the console does not respond, hold Power button In twelve seconds to force him to turn off.
- If the console switches off, hold the volume up (+) and the volume buttons (-) and then press Power button To turn on the system.
- Be sure to hold the pressure of the volume button until the menu of the maintenance method is displayed.
- Once in maintenance mode, select Update the system and follow the instructions to complete this procedure.
- If a parent management PIN is set up for the system, you will be asked to enter. If you forgot the PIN number, will need to be reset.
If all this has not yet solved the problem or eventually get a different error code, you may need to contact Nintendo.
This update is followed by version 20.0.0, which added virtual game cards, Gameshare and Switch 2 transfers. You can find out more in our original patch post here on Nintendo Life:
