Surely many of you still have in mind the permanent cancellation of this event. Last year it was shared that E3 is definitively dead, after the negative E3 news that was confirmed a little while ago.
Now, after learning about the future plans of the ESA, the YouTube channel Hard4Games has rescued and uploaded in high definition Nintendo trailers from E3 2001 from a DVD included in the Japanese magazine GameWave! DVD. This material includes trailers for games for GameCube and Game Boy Advance, such as Luigi’s Mansion, Pikmin, Metroid Prime and Super Smash Bros. Melee, in addition to the previously unreleased Donkey Kong Racing.

The truth is, it’s sad to see the end of an iconic event like E3which has been a meeting point for the industry for decades. Although it is understandable that times change and formats evolve, it is important to remember and value the contribution that this event had in the history of video games.
