Remember when game developer Gamevice launched a lawsuit against Nintendo and Switch? It has been sued by Nintendo of America and Nintendo Co Ltd in Japan for infringing on its patent by "uniting device device and game controller" with a bridge-related section. It then dismissed the case and filed another complaint with the US Trade Commission, which then launched a formal investigation.
Yes, it seems that Nintendo has finally won this long legal battle. Here's how it happened, so to speak 360 Act
Nintendo Co Ltd has gone and won in the joint audition of Gamevice Inc. gaming patent, and the Patent Trial and Appeal Board failed to make all 19 claims that Nintendo opposed. In two decisions issued Tuesday, the board ruled that all claims were transparent in light of previous patents.
All 19 of the claims Nintendo challenged went on its own, so it was over with Gamevice. In related matters, Nintendo's request to dismiss Joy-Con's claim was denied.
