Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon was released a few days ago, so the franchise is still fresh in the minds of fans and video game media alike. So it’s no surprise that Famitsu interviewed series creator Hideki Kamiya and Nintendo producer Makoto Okazaki, who later translated Nintendo Everything into English. There, the pair were asked about the future of the series.
Okazaki said that “there’s certainly nothing concrete that we can say at this point, but at least personally, I don’t think this is the end.” Additionally, Okazaki also mentioned that he wants to hear feedback from those who have played Bayonetta Origins: Cereza and the Lost Demon first before deciding where to go with the series.
Kamiya, meanwhile, stated that “we want to make this title part of a new series and continue to expand the world.” He also revealed that they had discussed the idea with director Abebe Tinari. However, the thinking is currently limited to PlatinumGames developers only, and Kamiya even admitted that it hasn’t been discussed with Nintendo yet.
