The Pokemon Company announced today that the two classic feature-length animated adventures of Ash and Pikachu are now finally available for digital purchase. The two movies are Pokemon 4Ever and Pokemon Heroes and are available now on iTunes, Amazon (US only) and Google Play, just in time for Christmas. Here’s what to expect from each Pokémon adventure:
Pokemon 4Ever
“In Pokémon 4Ever, Ash, Misty and Brock are exploring the forest when they encounter the mythical Pokémon Celebi, which has the power of time travel. They also meet and befriend a boy named Sammy who was protecting Celebi from capture 40 years in the past when he was suddenly transported to the present day. Unfortunately, Celebi is still in danger, this time from the Iron Masked Marauder. Together, the group must fight to save Celebi—and hopefully bring Sammy back to his true age.”
Pokemon heroes
Pokémon Heroes tells the story of the city of Altomare, which is protected by the legendary Pokémon Latias and Latios. While visiting the city to participate in a race through the city’s canals, Ash learns that a pair of thieves named Annie and Oakley are after two legendary Pokémon as well as a mysterious gem called Soul Dew. The diabolical plan threatens not only Latias and Latios but the entire city.
