Virtuoso is a very relevant company for Nintendo Switch fans, as it has been in charge of working on multiple ports of third-party titles for the platform, including games like Dark Souls, Starlink Y The black.
But the company continues to work hard with the console NintendoFar from withdrawing its support to focus on the new generation, the company says it is excited about the projects that are already underway for Nintendo Switch and that we will probably see this summer.
In a recent interview, the director of the company, Christophe Gandon, was very optimistic about the future of Nintendo Switch, celebrating that it recently outsold Nintendo 3DS. These were his words:
2021 has started with the continued rise of the Nintendo Switch as it now exceeds the total sales of the 3DS. There are many reasons for its success, including great first party games and a clever design that ultimately crosses the divide between handheld and console. However, what makes the Switch really stand out is its strong and ongoing support from third-party companies. Investing in the Switch ecosystem no longer means missing out on some of the world’s largest IPs, with franchises like Bioshock and XCOM in the same content library as Mario and Zelda. This can be attributed to Nintendo’s new approach to working with the Thirds and their desire to make the Switch a welcoming home for developers of all shapes and sizes. We’ve been able to put Nintendo’s tools to good use to make games look and perform well on your hardware, and we’re excited about new projects on the horizon for this summer and beyond. There is much more to come for the Switch family.
