As often happens, Japanese gamers are treated to some eclectic set of lesser-known franchises than the West is accustomed to. In this case, it is LEVEL-5 & # 39; s The World a franchise that was first introduced on the Nintendo 3DS back in 2017. After requesting that it be made local, the Nintendo switch version is in stores on February 14 and promises to bring with it all the DLC released by Japanese players.
We could talk about the first half of the game but, in the six hours (or so) of the game, we played enough to get a decent feel for this fun pit peg. We will not break anything, but we will keep information about the story, open and hidden gems.
Snack World: Dungeon Crawl – THE GAME is set in the world of hyper-Casual fantasy. The main center is your old town with residents to talk to, shopping and buildings to have a snoop around. He is set in a busy environment with very little memory, and is tied up too quickly to help residents – and the royals – complete the demands of being their new designer. Your chibi-like avatar is customizable from scratch with different hair styles, battle crystals and the entire trunk is made available on the go. At the moment, it doesn't make much difference to the story or outcome, but it's a nice addition.
Things are (rather unpleasantly) straightforward when you start your adventure, but by talking to other people in the city and finding the corners of & # 39; Titti-Frutti & # 39; Aside from the good visuals and the quirky characters, this article doesn't take itself seriously. The & # 39; s wall & # 39; it is always broken and the characters you interact with play with humor. Things are made easier by continuing to focus on effective combat strategies, exploration and personalization.
Snack World follows a good foundation. She has a great passion for the subject; this is a greater challenge than the additional requirements that are offered. Finishing up the repair, Recon and Bounty in the fields away from the canals will get you & # 39; XP & # 39; re, which ensures an easy ride when it comes to skiing depth. There is a practical guide to each wish to show you how they promise your chances of completing your chosen career, but we found yourself gambling more often than not; sometimes it paid off with the tone of wealth that was given in the end.
Fields and prisons are not just used: different peace requires collecting various items or enemies being defeated but the game sets up happy conditions each time. Some of the experiences are external and feel like make-up players, but the extra HP is accepted anyway. Also, the addition of randomly generated pits keeps things fresh. Each housing area has different types of enemies and, yes, basic enemies are numerous here. It is still to be seen if there are basic weapons you can find, but accessing some of the longer weapons and shorter drawings creates some well-thought-out strategies as they approach the pack of enemies.
Speaking of strategy, your Slots items are limited and you have to choose carefully what to take to the battle as your setup cannot be changed once you've started. These reserves are called hours and finding the right mix and protection is essential if you want to keep it going. Creatures to help you in battle are essential for survival too. Well-named Party Snacks, these little critics come in a variety of sizes and sizes. Some are there to support healing, others can run into battle on your behalf, giving you a higher hand to beat enemies. As this is not a turn based thing, having the right Party Snack that works well with your fighting style is something that has taken a while to adjust as they automatically attack; we stuck with the same in most of the games, but it's amazing to see what other team strategies offer over time.
With a seemingly simple way of telling stories and with a battle system with no one to the outside but rather the inward, Snack World: The Dungeon Crawl – Gold created yet another showcase of the classic, zany video game design that Level 5 is known for. Its light-hearted script, set against a passionate challenge title, keeps us intrigued so far with the introduction of the internet, it looks like another promising package. The game has some friendly visuals that can give a wrong impression but rest assured, we have a strong and relevant figure in front of us – and should not be underestimated.
