Super Smash Bros. the amiibo line is just about done. Pyra and Ithra are the only remaining Smash amiibo that Nintendo has already announced, and there is currently no word on whether there will be a Sora amiibo in the future. Despite this, the focus is still on Pyro and Ithra’s amiibo.
Well, Nintendo has finally confirmed the release date. The company announced tonight that the Pyrina and Ithrina amiibo will launch as a double pack on July 21st. Nintendo also confirmed that if you have Xenoblade Chronicles 3, “each amiibo unlocks a unique Aegis Sword weapon skin that characters using the Swordfighter class can wield”.
If you can’t get amiibo anytime soon, don’t worry. Nintendo says that both weapon skins can be unlocked in the base game “once a condition is met within a patch that will be released in the future”. So amiibo are just a way for the player to unlock them much sooner. You can see Nintendo’s official announcement tweet below.
