Random: Another Fake Nintendo Direct Leak Takes A Crack At Guessing BOTW 2’s Title

People have been having a field day when it comes to creating Breath of the Wild 2 leaks, with title guesses ranging from The Legend of Zelda: Breath of Evil to The Legend of Zelda: Echoes of the Past. We’ve had rumoured release dates that have come and gone, time and time again, and dates for Nintendo Directs that failed to materialise. We’ve grown tired of leaks, but we’ll never grow tired of people trying to make up believable Zelda game titles.

The latest “leak”, from 4Chan, promises a February 3rd Direct centered around first-party games, with news on playable Wario in Super Mario 3D World + Bowser’s Fury, a new Donkey Kong game, a new Kirby game, a new WarioWare game, an HD re-release of Metroid Prime Trilogy, and Rayman in Smash. The final “and we have one more thing to show you…” game will be the much-awaited Metroid Prime 4. Apparently.

When it comes to Zelda, though, the new title is apparently “The Legend of Zelda: Shadows of the Lost”, which we like much

less than “Echoes of the Past”. Still, it’s better than “Freshly-Picked Tingle’s Rosy Rupeeland”, isn’t it?

We can guess that Nintendo probably won’t call the long-awaited sequel “Breath of the Wild 2”, although that certainly didn’t stop them naming the Splatoon sequel “Splatoon 2”, and not “New Squid Revenge HD U” or something. Leakers and fakers alike seem to enjoy trying to guess at what Nintendo might have planned for the title of Link’s new adventure, but we just won’t know for sure if any of them nailed it until Nintendo tells us themselves.

Do you have any guesses for the title, or are you fine with “Breath of the Wild 2”? Drop your thoughts in the comments.
