In addition to this weekend’s Splatoon 3 Splatoon 3 ‘Summer Nights’ Splatfest, Nintendo has released a special new interview featuring all the past and present groups and idols appearing in the series. These include ‘Deep Cut’, the ‘Off the Hook’ crew from Splatoon 2 and the ‘Squid Sisters’ from the first Splatoon game.

Oh, and if you’re wondering about a collaboration anytime soon – it looks like it could be on the horizon. Here’s a small part of Nintendo’s interview:

Interviewer: We’ve seen a lot of fans hoping for a collaboration between all three of your groups.

A great man: Yes! yes (That sounds great! I’d be up for that anytime.)

Shiver: Should I reserve time for a special Anarchy Splatcast? Heh heh, imagine what that would do for our viewership…

Callie: Ooh! I just had a brilliant idea!

Marie: Just a minute, Callie. Drums please…

Callie: We will make a song where we will all be in!

Marina: What?!

A great man: Aaah?!

Frye: Hey, let’s talk now!

Callie: What do you think? Exciting, right?

Marina: That is SUCH a great idea! Excellent. It’s just…

Marie: What is it?

Marina: I have no idea how that would sound.

Marie: Ahh, because our styles are so different.

Shiver: Fortunately, we have an expert on such things. Right, Big Man?

A great man: Yes! yes (I knew I’d stress about it! It’s hard enough keeping the three of us together, let alone all seven of us.)

Pearl: Ah, it will be fine. Marina helps you, and she is a genius!

Marina: I am trying. Let’s work together and do our best!

A great man: Yes? yes (You mean it? One of you is worth 300 ghostwriters.)

Frye: Well, if we’re doing this, we have to come up with a group name for the seven of us. How about Seafood Squad?

Callie: I have one! Tricolor All-Stars!

Marina: Star angle is good, but how about Sparkling ☆ Seven Sea Stars?

Pearl: I don’t feel any of this.

Marie: Well, we all sing Now or Never!, right? What about The Now or Nevers?

Shiver: It works. Nice, Marie.

A great man: Yes. yes (I think it’s fresh. It conveys the urge to lay down lots of turf and not let the moment pass you by.)

Marina: I still feel something is missing.

Frye: Then let’s go all out and be the Extra-Large Seafood Squadron Now or Never Seven!

Callie: Cooooool! I love how it sounds like a superhero team!

Marie: Hits on white clothes.

Shiver: Too long! We don’t need the “Extremely Large Seafood Squadron” part!

Pearl: So, only now or never seven? That’s great with everyone? Then let’s go!
