When it comes to knowing the game inside and out, the game developer is usually the best. That is, of course, the case for Stardew Valley creator Eric Barone (aka ConcernedApe), but this is a sandbox so massive that there must be some elements that even the mastermind behind it all hasn’t flagged.

That he was case until the beginning of this week. You see, yesterday ConcernedApe started Twitter to reveal that he has finally 100% completed his own game (at least on Steam).

As it turns out, the creator still hasn’t come up with the ‘Fector’s Challenge’ achievement — one that only 1.2% of players have managed — which requires you to complete the ‘Journey of the Prairie King’ minigame without dying.

Clearly, that’s no mean feat — heck, 1.2% is a crazy low number — and Barone was quick to point out on Twitter that he wasn’t “pushing” the system with hibernation saves, “it was legitimate non-death work” .

Now, if you’ve been trying to tag this on Steam and want advice from the best, Barone has you covered, too. It all seems to be a matter of planning, with the creator suggesting that you should “Buy the best item you can afford in this order: ammo > revolver > boots”, save the machine gun boost for select combat encounters, and focus on getting the money. You will find his full advice below:

How does ConcernedApe celebrate the ultimate achievement, you may be wondering. “Development gave me a pat on the back,” he said wrote. Heheh.

For those who play on Switch, the long-awaited ver. Update 1.6 will arrive next week November 4.
