Inspired by Chrono Trigger and Mario & Luigi, Keylocker | Turn Based Cyberpunk Action has scheduled a September 18th release date for Nintendo Switch and other platforms.

On Saturn, a cyberpunk world where music has been banned for over a hundred years, a singer and songwriter named BOBO sets out to overthrow the status quo and bring music back to the people.

First introduced in 2020 by indie developer Moonana and publisher Serenity Forge, Keylocker is now ready to deliver performance that will shock your system. Coming in at $19.99 and 791MB, Keylocker is now available for pre-order on the Switch eShop.

Here are some Keylocker features from Serenity Forge official website:

  • Choose your path as a cyberpunk rebel, where each class has its own unique skill tree and story.
  • Control electricity with your own music! Turn it into offense or defense as needed, switching between different moves and tactics.
  • Classic turn-based combat with a twist on rhythm gameplay: master the perfect timing to aim your shots, time your attacks, and parry or block your enemies’ attacks across this unforgiving planet.
  • No Random Encounters: Fight your enemies in seamless in-world battles.
  • Befriend or betray citizens, hack their profiles to gain resources or change the course of the story with multiple endings.
  • Rock Out: Play with your band in the Music Show minigame, featuring songs by Elektrobear (Momodora, Virgo Versus The Zodiac), voiced by Psamathes.
  • Customize your Doppelganger: Choose from a wide variety of gear, weapons and skills, unlocking special talents using keys collected from enemies you DELETE in battle.
  • Interactive World: Explore Saturn and interact with each unique object to uncover secrets, rewards, or entire chunks of the planet’s lore.
