Another prominent video game developer who was asked about his plans for 2023 Famitsu is, Hironobu Sakaguchi, head of acclaimed RPG studio, Mistwalker. Mr. Sakaguchi jokingly told the publication that he thought this would be the year he would retire, but says, “I decided to try and try again.” He said he and the rest of the team are hard at work developing the game, which is described as a “dark fantasy”. Platforms were not mentioned and it appears that the project may be in the early stages of development. Mistwalker is the studio behind games like Blue Dragon, Lost Odyssey and Fantasian.
