It's bad enough for Nintendo that we've been seeing a pretty steady stream of leaks and rumors about the Switch 2 for a month now. But the start of CES 2025 seems to have opened the door a bit. We've already reported on the Switch 2 dummy model being there, but it looks like that's not all that's coming from the tech event.
French journalist Nicolas Lellouche, who writes for Numerama, shared some additional details on social media. Numerama is compared to the French version of The Verge and is considered very reliable. However, Lellouche revealed on social media that Genki aren't the only accessory makers at CES 2025 fueling Switch 2 rumors. In fact, he notes “several accessory makers showing off a model of the console and its accessories.” They also learned from Genki that they claim to own a real Switch 2.
The most interesting bit of Lellouche's information came when a fan asked about the reveal and release date of the Switch 2. Lellouche says that while no one they've spoken to seems to have information on when the console will be revealed, he says that “everyone is saying it's going to be in April ” console to actually be released. As usual, this isn't coming directly from Nintendo, so it's another rumor to add to the collection. Regardless, you can see Lellouche's social media post about it below.
Let everyone say April, announce that they have no information.
