Rumor: Insider Claims Halo: Master Chief Collection Coming to 'Switch 2'

A famous insider Nate the Hate claimed in a new podcast that Microsoft will advance its multiplatform ambitions in 2025 by bringing both Halo: The Master Chief Collection and Flight simulator on 'Switch 2' and PS5.

An insider – who correctly claimed this previously Indiana Jones and the Great Circle will finally come to PS5 in 2025 after its Xbox release – he clarified his statement saying “every [Xbox] a game coming out this year will find its way to PS5 and/or Switch 2 at some point, it's just a matter of when.”

He claimed that Microsoft will be heavily supporting the upcoming Switch 2 and will be porting their current Switch titles ie. Pentiment, Grounded etc., with upgraded resolution and features. It's no surprise that Microsoft is shifting its strategy somewhat to embrace more cross-platform support after struggling to grow its own user base, but this is perhaps the clearest indication yet of the scope of its plans.

In particular, Halo will be a significant release on the Switch 2 given the franchise's status as a notable Xbox exclusive, and many consider it to be arguably the most important IP for the Xbox Gears of War. The Master Chief Collection was originally launched in 2014 and features Halo: Combat Evolved Anniversary, Hello 2, Hello 3, Halo 3: THE EPISODE, Hello 4and Hello: reach.

In the meantime, we're all still crossing our fingers for an official Switch 2 reveal in the coming weeks. Nintendo has chosen to remain relatively quiet about recent leaks regarding the console, but recently stated that the Switch Successor model from accessory maker Genki is “not official.”
