A reliable Japanese leak site reports that the upcoming Dragon Quest III HD-2D remake will do away with the male and female title appearances and instead opt for Appearance A and Appearance B. The site reports that voice actors Nobuyuki Hiyama will voice the character Appearance A, and Yuko Minaguchi will voice the character Appearance B. Dragon Quest III HD-2D Remake is out on multiple platforms including Nintendo Switch on November 14th.
The heroes of “View A” will be played by Shuyuki Hiyama, and the heroes of “View B” by Yuko Minaguchi. The “Layout A/B” tags suggest that the occupation categories of “male” and “female” have been dropped and the design has instead been changed to a format where the user chooses their favorite design between two different layouts.
