If you like fighting games, you will know that Samurai Shodown leaves on February 25, 2020, a classic game that arrives a little later on Switch but promises to delight fans.
Well, the middle Destructoid interviewed its director Nobuyuki Kuroki and among other issues they talked about how the process of porting the game to the Nintendo console was. These were his words:
Switch's hardware specifications differ greatly from the others, so it was necessary to investigate after having developed it for other systems. We are sorry that our Switch users are waiting, but we believe it will be a wonderful game on Switch.
Since we use Unreal Engine, it will not be difficult to move that data to Switch. For us the challenging point is to make the game run at 60 FPS. Thanks to Safari Games, the company that oversaw the porting process, we were able to achieve our goal.
For this part of the job, I just gave some advice. Porting the game to the Switch requires a lot of work and is a difficult job. Therefore, we appreciate how Safari Games has done its job really well.
