A few months ago, it was confirmed that SEGA of America employees were interested in unionizing. They briefly faced a little resistance from SEGA’s higher-ups about a month ago, but that resistance seems to have died down and union plans have been allowed to go ahead for employees of the North American Sonic the Hedgehog house.
Well, another big step towards the unionization process happened today. It was announced that, 91 to 26, SEGA of American employees voted to unionize. The union will be called the Allied Employees Guild Improving Sega, or AEGIS for short. You can see AEGIS’ tweet about it below.
