The Japanese video game site watched recently chatting with SEGA's Josuke Okunari about the possibility of Sonic the Hedgehog titles coming in the SEGA AGES series on the Nintendo Switch platform. Mr Okunari was asked if the remaining Sonic titles like Sonic 3 etc could be part of the package. He said there were no plans yet, but he said that the 1993 Sonic arcade game would be controversial.
“When we first started working with the SEGA Ages for the Nintendo switch, the number of titles in development was limited, so we decided on a sequence that includes the first two entries in the series by Puyo Puyo and Sonic. If this collection of SEGA Ages articles is successful, then I would say that we would like to think of extracting more from that series. The arcade game, SegaSonic the Hedgehog, has never been filmed before… ”
