Continuation of YOU CAN was just announced and if you’re wondering what the chances are for a Nintendo Switch release, it’s not looking good.
When asked if the MOBA sequel would get a Switch release by TechRadar Gaming, Titan Forge Games expressed concern about the “power level” of Nintendo’s current hybrid system and the minimum technical specifications. Fortunately, the team is still “open” to future platforms should Nintendo announce anything (like a rumored successor system).
“We’re concerned that right now, with the power level of the Switch and the minimum specs we’re aiming for, we’re just not sure we can develop or deliver a really good experience for people currently playing on the Switch. …hitHe’s been everywhere we can get him to do well, and I’d expect that to continue hit 2. We’re just not sure we could run it well on Switch 1, unfortunately.”
For now, Switch fans of SMITE will have to stick with the original version, which is available as a free download on the eShop.
