The developers behind the recently announced Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds have not yet been announced. Sumo Digital, the developers behind the original Sonic Racing games, are not working on a new project. The UK-based company said ua post on X to “in the meantime reminisce with us about our memories of working with SEGA on Sonic & SEGA All-Stars Racing” Hardlight was then seemingly the next bet for Sonic fans to develop a new project. However, a few tweets from SEGA implies that Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is being developed by an “elite” in-house team that specializes in SEGA racing games. Reddit user Jasonvsfreddyvs surmises that Sonic Racing: CrossWorlds is most likely being developed by former members of SEGA AM2 (Out Run, Daytona USA) and SEGA AM3 (SEGA Rally, Crazy Taxi). Hopefully we won't have to wait long to find out exactly who the developers behind the project are.
