Sonic Superstars looks set to be a solid 2D platforming experience for fans and friends of the legendary blue blob, and is due out later this year. Interestingly, the game has already been rated by the Entertainment Software Ratings Board and has been given an E rating for everyone. SEGA has simply said that the game is coming out this fall and has yet to announce an exact release date. We hope to find out soon when the game will be released and also if it will go head to head with Super Mario Wonder. Here is the product description from the ESRB:
“This is an action platform game where players take on the roles of Sonic and his friends as they circle colorful zones and try to defeat Dr. Robotnik. As players race through unusual environments, they can jump on enemies’ heads, causing them to transform into small creatures; Sonic and friends react to damage by losing coin-like rings and falling off-screen when defeated. Boss battles can feature a longer fight, with cartoonish explosions.”
